Mit dem Quartier um den Canal Saint Martin habe ich mich während meiner Zeit in Paris beschäftigt. Was macht dieses Quartier aus, wie ist die Architektur, wo geht man Essen, wo wohnt man? Zeichnerisch und illustrativ habe ich mich damit auseinandergesetzt. Ich habe mit Fineliner direkt und ohne vorzeichnen, mit viel Mut, in mein Skizzenbuch gezeichnet. Die vielen Zeichnungen habe ich dann in mehreren Kategorien geordnet. Jede Kategorie wurde zu einem Kapitel, zum Beispiel Fenster und Türen oder Geschäfte. Alle Kapitel haben eine Farbe zugeteilt, die sie markiert und die als Leitfaden dient. Dies ist sichtbar am offenen Rücken des von mir selbst gebundenen Buches.

During my time in Paris, I dealt with the quarter around the Canal Saint Martin. What makes this neighborhood special, what is the architecture like, where do you eat, where do you live? I explored this in my drawings and illustrations. I drew directly in my sketchbook with fineliner and without sketching, with a lot of courage. I then organized the many drawings into several categories. Each category became a chapter, for example windows and doors or stores. All chapters have a color assigned to them, which marks them and serves as a guide. This can be seen on the open back of the book I bound myself.
